Everything is better now
« on: February 16, 2016, 08:03:00 PM »
I purchased the van der hagen safety razor set. The bumps are gone and my head is smooth as hell, my sh*t was pretty rough and at one point mangled by mach 3 cartridges. The scars have faded and the shave is close as it gets. My girl loves it and i second her motion. Never going back to cartridges. Im in love. There is a "art of shaving" store in the mall around here and I'm pretty sure im gonna buy some soap and bowl set ups. If u haven't tried a safety razor u definitely should. I enjoy the process of lathering the badger brush and all that. Its the way to go, especially for those that tend to bump up.

I'm glad shaving is going better for you. I use a double edge also, and find you can be pretty aggressive without getting any irritation.

Art of Shaving will be expensive, you can find alot of stuff on Amazon.
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Glad you found what works best for you.

Warm lather and a leisure shave with a DE can be very enjoyable.

Like RedDog said, though, The Art of Shaving is a store selling expensive and usually unnecessarily fancied up shaving supplies and accessories (like silver handles for Fusion cartriges.) Good quality shaving mugs/bowls, stands and soaps can be found for a lot less at other locations and on the web.
