New guy from Australia

Hi guys!
I have just signed up and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm a 31 yo Tasmanian guy currently living in Brisbane.
All the male members of my Dads family went bald on the crown in their early 20s except for my Dad himself, and when my brother went bald in his 20s and I didn't I had hoped I might keep my hair!
Sadly is has started thinning dramatically on top in the last 18 months and after deciding not to faff around with Rogaine and the like I'm contemplating shaving my head.
I've just buzzed it today without the guard on the clippers, tell me what you think? I will probably try shaving bald tonight.
Me a few years ago before my hair went bye.
Me 2 weeks ago with thinning hair
And me today

Welcome to the forum. Looks good and let the beard grow a bit.
I also grew up in Tasmania in Hobart but moved to Canberra after university over 50 years ago. Makes me feel old.

G'day, I've never been to tassie, I live in Adelaide (grew up in the country), I reckon you picked the right time to let it go, though you can grow more than me, and I'm just a touch younger than you at 30. But it's a good place here.
I used the shaved head as a reason to grow the beard

Welcome! The no-guard looks good, but I bet the razor shave will look even better!

Big improvement over the picture from two weeks ago.
I think the look should be a keeper for you.

Sorry that you're going shorter not entirely by choice. But it does suit you, so there's that!

You should try for Shaving your head, leave with a little beard. That would highlight your eyes look.

Thanks for the welcomes guys
I took the plunge and shaved bald last Saturday although Tapatalk had been playing up and wouldn't let me post for some reason until today.
I shave my face with a Gillette Adjustable Slim but there's no way I'm going to try and use a DE on my tender scalp so bought a Fusion Proglide to shave my noggin with.
The first shave took ages and the cartridge kept clogging up, probably because the hair was longer and much finer than what it is designed to deal with. I also managed to scalp a mole on the top of my head that stung like heck and bled profusely
I left it alone on Sunday, and shaved again this morning before work. Much better! The razor didn't clog up this time thanks to the short regrowth, and I put a finger over the mole on my head whenever I was shaving near it so I didn't cut it again. I can still feel a few patches in the contours at the back where it's not completely hairless but i asked my brother to have a look and he reckoned you can't tell by eye so that's good enough for me!
