New Guy
« on: December 27, 2015, 09:41:56 PM »
I'm new to trying the bald look. I'm curious as to how long it will take my pale head to match my normal skin color. I'm light completed and it's winter. So no rush to be tan. Just want it to not look like Im flying the "Hey I just shaved" just shaved banner.

Welcome aboard.  The amount of time it takes to attain even skin tone will vary from individual to individual.

Welcome, John!

I also went smooth in the winter because I figured my bald dome would be closest in tone to the skin under the horseshoe. It took about two months for the shaved area to blend in with the rest of my scalp, but it was worth it.

Glad you joined us.

Welcome John.

I think my hair was so thin that I didn't notice it was a different colour, it may have been that I didn't know that it would be as well.

When I shaved my head, it was June, so it only took a few days to tan my newly bald area. I get very tan, so I go to the tanning booth about every 10/12 days in the winter. I've also used the Jergens self tanning moisturizer once in awhile.
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Welcome.  You'll do just fine

Hello everyone,

I only found out about this forum and I instantly felt right at home. I am new to head shaving and it's great to find a community that shares some amazing advice. Not to mention the confidence boost. Looking forward to become a sly bald guy myself! :)

Edit: sorry, should have started a new thread.

Welcome Johnhtt, congrats on taking the plunge! I'd recommend the Jergens self tanner if you really want to get some color on your head quickly, just remember to wash your hands immediately afterwards.

Welcome...it didn't take too long to get the dome less white, but everyone varies, too.  It will happen, though, so just be a little patient.

Welcome! Your head will be a shade darker in no time. Just be sure you put a little sunscreen on so you don't get burned. That freshly exposed head is sensitive.
