How and why did you choose your SBG name

I have often wondered how members chose their SBG name. Same are fairly obvious but others are quite intriguing.
My name 'nuts' is because my surname is Allnutt (not a common name!!) and at school I was called nuts or variations on that (some not so flattering). When I shaved my head it seemed entirely appropriate to use nuts reflecting my smooth dome. Also initially a few people thought I was mad.

I wore a buzz cut for several years before going sly. A former coworker thought I looked like an excommunicated Buddhist monk so he started calling me hingatao. I kept it when I went sly.

Excellent topic, Nuts! Mine was given by my coworkers.
A year or so before I went smooth, I changed companies and was given an office with no windows. Since I am very aware of and annoyed by the pulse given off by Fluorescent tube lights (they really can hurt my eyes) and could not use natural light from a window, I brought in a table lamp for my desk. The office still was so dark, it began to be known as The Cave, and I as The One Who Dwells In The Cave. Hence, my name.

I was originally 'SimplyRed', because of a bunch of BMW forums I was already a member of. 'SimplyRed' was actually my car's name. Eventually it made more sense to be SlyRed on SBG.
Now the car, by way of its license plate is also SlyRed. I am neither redheaded, nor red bearded.

I used to work in an office and three of us shared the same first name. The Canadian in the group would call me Mr Zed (last name starts with Z).
It stuck. I use this name in a number of places.

I ride motorcycles. My current primary helmet is a custom one with two devils airbrushed on it. It was sitting on my desk when I registered.

I love working up a good sweat. Even after the hardest day at work, when I get home the first thing I want to do is pump a little iron to help me wind down for the evening. I am all for physical fitness. 4fit.
