Watched an online baldness cure scam
« on: October 28, 2015, 08:07:58 PM »
I don't know why I decided to watch this, but I clicked this link http://www.restorelosthair.net/report/1/104/301031/24206798/ to one of those miracle baldness cure treatments and found it was loaded with cliches!  That was basically why I watched it; the manipulations and hoops the authors went through to manipulate people into buying their product was kinda amusing.

Cliche #1: Making Money is Bad: The text-based video starts out by playing on the "profit is bad" clicle that, sadly, causes a lot of people to turn off their brains in condemnation of anything that generates a profit for someone who can resolve a problem.

Cliche #2; Medicine is only interested in treatments and not cures: In order to better play into someone's desire for maximum results for minimal costs, it played into the cliche that the medical industry is only interested in treatments that require non-stop life-long payments instead of a simple one-time payment for a cure.  BTW, I watched this video with eyeballs that had horrendous vision until I had the one-time LASIK treatment to bring my eyes to 20/20 levels... 12 years ago.

Cliche #3: Organic and All-Natural are always good, safe, and cheap!:  This cliche once again plays on the myth that compounds produced by science and creative people using their minds is "bad" because it involves "profit".  People who believe this should treat themselves to a wash of organic poison ivy and if they still have the knee-jerk reaction that natural = safe then they should be given a teaspoon of organic hemlock to complete the education.

Cliche #4: Making money is good (for good people and we're good people): Towards the end these people who believe in mankind more than the evils of making profit hold their miracle cure hostage until you pay them.  But don't be afraid!  "While the true cost of the treatment ought to be X, we're going to give it to you for half X!  But because we're such good guys we're gonna cut that even further!  See you can trust us because we aren't charging you the greedy initial price we pulled out of thin air!"

Cliche #5: Plays on insecurity: It attempts to confirm or create the fear that you will lose all sex appeal and women will flee from you upon first sight. You can't simply want hair because you like it; you must want your hair back because you're life will virtually end without our product!

nah, I'm finding a way to cause baldness permanently or hairloss at least and some people trying to revoke their hair. I wish I could give them all my hair.
