Fights Cancer!

Yes, that's right. I shaved my head two days ago for the first time and saw a bump and my intuition immediately said, get to a doctor. They're doing a biopsy but the doctor says looks like basil cell carcinoma, which is no problem as long as you catch it and treat it. Even if I ever DID regret shaving my head, now I can always be like, "pff...this sly bald head saved my butt."

Glad to hear you caught it early. As someone who has had a few surgeries and removal of bumps on the noggin, I can appreciate someone being proactive. Hope it's nothing serious; good luck!

Great news, I've had several of those removed over the years and it's always a nail biter for a few days. Glad the news fell in your favor!

Always best to stay on top of those ... a great reason to wear a cap or hat

Just letting everyone know, everything is fine! All they did was cut it off, voila.
But yes, sunscreen every day and a panama hat in the summer.

Man you are right - that sweet bald head saved your life! What a great story! I guess you aren't going to be questioning whether or not you were "meant to be sly"!

That's great news that you found it early! I think when guys get to a certain point in their hair loss they open themselves up to having skin cancer on the scalp and not knowing it. Because the hair is thinner it's not going to protect the scalp like usual, but because there is still hair on the scalp the person isn't going to notice any signs of an issue unless they shave it.
