Is it noticeable to go from a 0 to completely shaving it to a razor?

My hair is at a zero right now and i've been told to go completely bald but i'm only 18 and normally have a full head of hair. When i first shaved my hair to a zero all of my friends were laughing; i want to go razor short without them realizing that i cut it shorter again. I know i sound like a baby but it's just annoying for people to talk about my head all day.

When I did this several years ago, it took 3 days before my adult daughters who lived at home with me noticed!

I'm assuming your friends are fairly close to your age. Anything you do that is even semi drastic in appearance will be rewarded with them busting your chops until the new wears off, or until someone else in the group does something to draw attention away.
I had a similar reaction in 1981 when I got my ear pierced (seems very trivial by todays standards)
If your mind is set on shaving 100% then go for it, your friends will get over it if they are indeed friends. If YOU change your mind, it will grow back. Don't let them drag you down.

From my observation, most people cannot tell the difference.
A zero is about a day or two worth of growth from smooth.

Also, once people become used to seeing you with a bald or buzzed head, the comments will stop.

Only when someone is up close to you they might notice. From a distance there is hardly a chance someone would notice. The biggest difference is you'll minimize any shadow you have by shaving. Oh and you'll really dig the smooth feeling you'll have after.

Only a very few will notice the difference. Usually only other head shavers will notice.

If I see a guy across the room with a 0 buzz, it looks bald. Only when I get up close will I notice the little bit of fuzz. I suspect us bald guys are the ones most likely to notice, but you have to be up pretty close to spot it.

From my personal experience, you'll be pleased just how few notice the difference between 0 grade and shaved head. But you will feel a big difference. It might event put a spring in your step.
And remember when you are out and about passing people in the street. They will only see with a shaved head.
Good luck, go for it and welcome to forum.

I used to sport a horseshoe flat-top shaved on the sides, when I decided to completely shave my head bald, nobody notice it and that was 15 years ago. Up until now no one in the family has ever mention when did you shave your head bald other then my wife and daughter who were they on the day. If you want to razor shave it, do it for yourself and don't mind other what they say or think. Just do it.

The appearance won't be really different. The feel will be much defferent.
