Considering shaving my head bald! Should I do it?

I've been buzzing my head with a #1 or #2 guard lately, but I really want to try the shaved head look, at least for a while. However, I'm nervous about how I'll look since 23-year-old skinny, tall guys typically don't rock the no-hair look, and I'm a tad worried about the reactions. I did some quick photoshop on a picture of myself to get an idea and attached them here. Does it look all right? I'm tempted to just go to my barber and ask him to do it tomorrow.

I say go for it. I'm only a few years older than you and wish I had shaved my head when I was 23. It'll look good on ya

Yeah, I think I'll give it a shot. How would I even ask my barber to shave my head? I'm probably going to get a confused/weird reaction haha.

Not sure I was buzzed down to a 00000. And just grabbed a razor and shaved my own head. I'd assume just him for a wet shave and he'll take it off for ya. Anyone correct me if im wrong.

I'd give it a try. Most barbershops will give you a razor shave upon request, however very few can get it as smooth as if you did it yourself.

Your current buzz cut is so close to being bald, that visually, there will be little difference. Go for it. (30 day rule is advised). if you don't like it after a month, you can be back to your current buzz length in less than 1 week.
I've never had the barber shave my head. Always do it myself. From what I hear, the self shave is almost always smoother than what the barber will do.
If you don't do it, you'll always wonder what it would be like. If you read the discussions here you'll find many guys who 1) wonder why they waited so long, and 2) never go back to hair once they shave their heads; they like it so much. I'm in both groups.
A bald head is pretty amazing. Looks great. Feels great.

Hello again, sir.
As many of the gentlemen here have said to you in the past when you have posted your anxieties over how you think you will look and how your friends will react if you shave your head; if you want to go smooth, then quit worrying about what other people think and just do it.
Any barber will know what you want if you call and ask if the shop can shave heads. (Someone calling him/herself a "stylist" might stumble with the question.) The experience of a barber shave can be very nice.

people will react to your shaved head - to be expected - however enjoy that. you have the self confidence to do it. You will look good shaved.

I tried barber shave a few times, they didn't shave as good as I did myself. They will avoid going ATG and warn you to not do it. Actually, they will hardly do ATG if you request but they will soon lost their patience, and then they will cut your scalp by mistake, or in my case he try to prove he was right that ATG will cause bleeding.

Since you already buzz your head, most will not even notice the difference if you shave. The main difference between a 0 buzz and a shave is the feel. Also, since you already have a beard, it will help off-set the lack of hair up top. I normally advise guys going sly to grow some facial hair if they can.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I ended up getting my head buzzed with no guard, and I'm loving the way it looks on me! I think this site has made me give on long hair forever haha. I would've asked for a razor head shave, but I opted not to because my skin breaks out whenever I use a razor.

Lookin good. Next step is a razor even for razor burns and the such they have stuff that might help your head.. I'd say try it once and shave with the grain and see how your head reacts. I had a small reaction but I have stuff to help it go away fast. The feel for a razor against the grain shave is not an exaggeration I leared it feels awesome. Even with the grain in a big difference from a 0.

Looks good, especially with the beard. I would still try a razor shave, though.
