Can you have too little hair

This is something that has been sitting in the back of my mind for a while and is probably my last on the road to happy slydome insecurity.  I have always wondered whether or not people are bothered by how much or how little hair they have remaining.

I have gone through the whol hairloss trauma thing you read about on this site all the time and in general i think i am through that.  However my final obsession is just how little hair i have left and thought i would canvas opinion.  As you can see from the pic (if it works) my shadow probably starts about 1/3 of the way down the side of my head.  That is something that for some reason has always really bothered me above anything related to losing my hair. 

What do people think, does anyone share this thought/concern, or am i being daft?  I guess i just dont like the thought that my hairline is worse than others  

I thought i would sign up for some of that free counselling that was mentioned in the where did it start thread. 

PS.  Not been around a lot lately due to new baby, but am back in the land of the living so planning on hanging around here some more!

I can totally relate to obsessing over perceived cosmetic flaws.  God knows I have plenty of things I don't like about my appearance and seem to find a new one every day -- the latest being that my left bicep seems to be slightly larger than the right one.  Before that, I was thinking that one ear seems to be higher than the other. 

I don't think you have a thing to worry about.  As we get older and lose more hair, the fringe tends to get "lower" anyway on most people.  You might have gotten there a little earlier than the rest of us, but most people will catch up eventually.  I doubt that anyone else will even notice it.

argyle.... your pic looks good. i wouldn't worry about shadow 1/3 0r 2/3 or 1/4.  there is nothing we can do about the shadow. unless u tweeze.  the dome looks good. u definitely rock the sly look.  oh.. the sunglasses on top of the slick dome is very sly.

Argyle, I think you look great.  And just like Razor said, I can tell you at least a dozen things that I find wrong about myself.  Just gotta focus on the positive.

Argyle, I just look at the front view when I look in the mirror, as long as its slick when I rub my hand over it who cares. I get the 5 o'clock velcro which I don't like, so I just don't touch the noggin after 5. When it gets dark I can't really notice the shadow!!

Yeah bro, like the others have stated.  It's no biggie at all man.  Everyone is going to always "think" they have something they don't like about themselves.  I get the shadow too but it's just one of those things.  Unless you have a dark skin complexion or get a little tan you will always have a little shadow.  I'm the same way.  Don't let it bother you.

Argyle, I have horrible shadow that bugs the hell out of me but after a while you will get used to it.

It is one of things you have to deal with being a headshaver.

You just look like one of us... no biggie.  I look forward to the day that I lose more, but the hair I do have is pretty thick, so I'm stuck with the shadow.  Move on...
