Wilkinson sword hydro 5 & My routine
« on: July 15, 2015, 01:38:50 PM »
Good afternoon guys,

I'm new to head shaving and currently I'm just using a wilkinson sword hydro 5, what do you guys think of this razor.... Are there betters on the market (gilette or similar)

I was looking into getting the head blade but I'll get one when I come to the USA next month as it's much cheaper there.

I don't know if we have that here in the States.  I use a Gilette Fusion Pro-Glide and that works the best for me.  It's got a 5th Blade on the back that I use to shaving the sideburns at the top of my ears so the line is straight and symmetrical.

Ah I've seen those in the shops here with like a promotion, blades and the razor for a good price...

Have you used the headblade at all?

No, never tried the headblade, I'm a diehard Fusion user.  Have used it for as long as I can remember.  There are others on here who use the headblade and they seem to like it. so hopefully they can share their opinion with you.

Just had my cleanest & closest shave yet!

I still had a little redness after the shave but I'm putting this down to my scalp getting used to the razor & the redness goes down quickly after I apply the post shave balm.

This is my new routine:

Shower, face wash/head wash, king of shaves shaving oil, king of shaves shaving gel, WTG, rinse head & re apply oil and gel, ATG & then go over missed bits. Finishing of with a Cooling Post Shave balm with 0% alcohol.
