Gold Bond powder for razor bumps
« on: May 19, 2015, 05:58:36 AM »
We are at the beach this week. I have been hiking, and I use Gold Bond to prevent chafing, in the usual manner. I read throught the ingredients, and was not too surprised to find that Gold Bond contains both menthol salicylate, as well as  acetylsalicylic acid, the active ingredient in "Bump Patrol".  So, I powdered up the old head before bedtime last night, and viola, my razor bumps are history this morning!

I'm sure others have tried this, but it is yet another option for treating those pesky bumps! I doubt that one would want to use it in the morning, unless you want that "just powdered/talc" look, however!

Huh, I always keep Gold Bond on hand, as I love to stay active in the summer and I always need it for chafing as well.

Does it sting at all? I'll try this tomorrow post shave. :)

No sting at all. You get the same "cool breeze" that you notice when you put Gold Bond in other places....
