Hello folks, I've been having this problem regularly after shaving. I usually shave once per week or once per two weeks when it gets really hectic. I'm at a balding stage where I like getting that bit of a stubble look but too much looks terrible. My preparation includes soaking my head for a good 5 minutes in warm water (if no shower is involved) and applying HeadSlick shave cream before taking the HeadBlade ATX to it. Unfortunately, the entire top of my scalp becomes littered with dead flakes and no matter how much more I wash it, a little bit will always remain. My shave routine is 3 times with the grain and 1 against. I've switched it up to to not going against the grain, always going against, etc, it makes no difference.
I've been doing this for 4 months now and I haven't attempted to really give my scalp the treatment it deserves because it's been a long cold winter and I've been wearing a beanie almost 24/7. What would a good procedure be to tackle this case of excessive dry skin? I don't exfoliate, I use whatever shampoo is in the shower 3 times a week. I was hoping to be directed towards some sensitive skin product recommendations (budget stuff - 22 and in college) for exfoliation, moisturization and shine. Thanks in advance.
