Officially bald and loving it
« on: March 31, 2015, 08:45:11 PM »
I am proud to announce that as of today March 31st, 2015 I am officially sly. I took the plunge and shaved it smooth. The first ever shave went well. Only one nic along the way. My head has never felt so good. I definitely need some sun on my dome. I'll post some pics and reactions to my new look later.

Congratulation Nick! Now give it the 30 days to really try it out.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

Thank you all for the congrats. I thought I would take a minute and update how first day reactions went. Overall it new look was accepted. It definitely surprised everyone. Having said that, the reaction was a mixed bag as expected. Some were for it, some were neutral, and some were nay on it. Some even verbally offered no comment though their body language said all. A couple of jokes were tossed around, but in good fun. It was a business as usual and of Wednesday besides that.

My wife does not approve, which I could have predicted that with 100% accuracy. She will be the tricky one to sell on my new look. I'm in hopes that this will go the way the full beard did and she will learn to tolerate it.

Having said that it was day one of may, many more to come as a bald man. Just one day of my head feeling this good has sold me on it. It's a freedom you just need to feel and experience to understand. I'm so glad I took the razor out of mothballs. I'll continue to update as I go along. Everyone's expierences that have been shared was helpful in feeling confident in choosing to be bald. I'll hopefully get a pic or two up sometime this weekend.

Congratulations on the new look. My wife was not a fan but after a couple of months has come around. Hopefully yours will as well :)

Congratulations.   Looking good.
My wife was also not too happy at first but it only took a few weeks (when she realised that the bald dome was permanent)to adjust.  She would prefer a goatee but the full beard is now nearly 49 years old so that is not going to happen.
a year or so ago I  let my hair grow out for about a week and   she said "get rid of that stubble".

The 30 day rule gives family members and friends time to adjust.

It did not take 30 days here.

Well hopefully my wife will come around. She has been steadfast in me immediately growing my hair out despite my reasons for being bald, but it's early in the process. If the sun would ever shine so I could get some color it would help tremendously. Right now my head is white. I'm sure the only reason she hasn't his my razor is because she still holds out that I will shave my beard off. LOL! Anyway I do appreciate the comments as they help. Day two of being a bald nan was a good. Onto Day 3.

Remember the 30 day rule.  I promise you that after 30 days your wife will accept it.
