Shaving with a cut
« on: March 13, 2015, 05:17:04 PM »
Hi

I'm using the ATX,  but I seem to have developed a cut on my head. Now, I don't want to make it worse, so I have to ask - what's the best method for shaving over/round a cut?

Shave around it and - if it isn't too raw, go over the wounded area very lightly with an electric shaver.

Most cuts on the scalp heal within three or four days. If you're not an everyday shaver, you could just wait it out until you feel it's healed enough.

I just don't til it heals, which has meant I haven't shaved all week cos I cracked my noggin on a towbar at work, I'm a mechanic so that's why towbars end up head height
God created only a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair!

Yeah, I've got a scrape on the very top of my head. Gotta wait until it heals to shave. Impatient...

I generally do this and let it heal, although I hate having much hair growth.
First started shaving my head on the 9th October 2014

If it is a smallish cut ( like from a bad shaving angle from my DE.) I put my finger on it as I shave to be sure I go around it.

I know how you feel man. Healing requires patience. I have a little scar from where I cut myself awhile back trying to shave with a shavette. Even being as careful as I was, I still cut myself due to a bad shaving angle.  My scar is getting better every day though as far as swelling goes and most people wouldn't notice it unless I point it out to them. Yeah just shave around it. That's what I did for a while and now I'm back to my normal routine shaving in the shower daily. Nicks and cuts are bound to happen at times with shaving unfortunately.
