Baldy New Year

Hi everybody,
I'm new in the forum but I've surfed it for a while in the past days.
I'll try to keep my story short:
I've never had lot of hair but started to notice I had less hair every month at 20.
I used to have long hair and in 6 months I passed through short hair and to buzzed.
I kept my hair buzzed to zero from 23 to 30 but never had the courage to shave it.
A couple of days after Christmas 2014 I started to think about shaving and found this forum. The 31st December decided to shave it and begin the new year with a new version of me.
Guys, the best choice of my life.
To go through the hairloss has been pretty hard like most knows, but everyday I watch in the mirror and like what I see.
I lately realized that the majority of good things I had and have in my life are related to the balding.
When I first buzzed my head I started to control the things I can control and instead of being a chubby long haired guy that smoke and drink, I became a bald and fit guy.
I started to be involved in martial arts and the fact that most of the guys are really strong, powerful and bald/short haired surely influenced me at the time and martial arts had a huge positive impact in my self confidence.
I decided to join the military (the best choice of my life so far)
I've met my ex girlfriends (usually years younger than me) that loved the "bad ass" look that really short hair gives.
Now at 30 I'm fit, I do a job I love, I like the image in the mirror and the people that see me for the first time think I'm 25.
I would like to say that I really like the forum, the blog and the positive attitude it bears for something that's usually a huge shock for everybody.
I would like to say a thing to everybody reading this and still in the dark liar of hairloss sadness:
life is strange and beautiful, if you have the right attitude the potentially worst thing become the best that happened in your life. Only the dead have a problem that cannot be solved. Be proud of who you are and be the best version of yourself.
see ya guys
