I started my beard in 1980 when I spent a summer in Alaska. Most of the guys grew beards whether they looked good or not. Just the Alaskan thing to do for a guy.  It took a long time for the beard to grow in then. It grows much faster now.

I've never shaved it off, so I'm on 35 years with the beard now. My wife has never seen me without a beard except in photos.  She jokingly says, "Don't you dare shave it off. I won't know who you are and won't let you in the house."

I would have the beard either way.  I hate being without at least a goatee.

Beard.  I've always hated being clean shaven, I just don't feel the look suits me.

I've have all forms of facial hair since my early 20's, from a simple goatee on just the chin to a full goatee to the beard I have now.  I've shaven clean in the past for job interviews, but no longer do that.  It took me this long to grow a beard that I feel looks decent so I'm not about to start over again.
My granddaddy once told me, "If you can't hack it, gecho' jacket!"

I probably wouldn't.  I grew my beard out over a year ago when I started buzzing my head since I knew I was thinning up top.  I figured that I needed a good beard if I ever decided to shave my head bald.  Otherwise, a beard would have never been a part of my identity.

Denying a beard that outstanding its right to grow is nearly criminal.

Have had either a goatee, moustache or full beard since I was about 21 so the answer frim me of course is yes. Only shaved my face completely 2 times in the last 22 years and regreted it both times.

Thanks! I did a competition in September, it was amazing but I didn't place. I have another in April.

Good luck with your competition!
First started shaving my head on the 9th October 2014

Yes, I would still have the beard.  for me, a full beard was long in coming - I was in my mid 40's before I could grow a full beard.  In my mid 20's all I could grow was a mustache, the a circle beard by 30.  I always had what I could grow, but the full beard came after going sly (at the time I was BBC, but now have MPB).  So I have never had a full beard with a full head of hair.

Beard all the way! I tend to mix things up with my facial hair pretty regularly.

I started shaving at age 12 in primary school when class-mates started teasing about trying to grow a moustache (or whatever peach fuzz amounted to that) I wasn't trying just had never considered shaving at that age.

about age 15 I started to grow a goatee and sideburns, and so every licence photo I've had from Learners at 16 y/o through to renewing year before last I have had facial hair of some description
God created only a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair!

I hated guys like you in high school!  ;D
No really, I did and even back then I knew it was pure jealously.
