I can't really advise on the cultural aspect of your post since I'm not Indian, but I will simply say that I think you would likely look good if you shaved.  And I agree that you should keep the beard if you do.

You should only shave it if you want to shave it; and you shouldn't care what anyone wants you to do.

In my personal opinion you would look a lot nicer if you shave off those scraps of hair you have left on your head.  You will look much healthier and more masculine.

Yes, I say go for it!  Do the 30 day challenge and stick to it!  From the front view it looks like you have a good shaped head.

Also definitely keep the beard.  Glasses are cool too, or try wearing contacts to change your look.
