What took me so long

Greetings Gents
My journey started about 3 yrs ago when I noticed my hair was starting to thin up top and around the crown of my head. I have rather strait hair so it was never an issue because I could always fool most people...plus, i'm 6'5 so no one really sees the top of my head lol.
Anyway, fast forward to July 3 of this year and I finally decided to make the leap...all i can say is "what took me so long!" Rather than use a razor, I used my Andis clippers for my first 30 days, then finally got up enough courage to use a razor (Shick Quattro is my choice of blade). The result were great! My head felt great, no irritation, and I was used to me new look by then. Family and friends were initially shocked by it, but I got nothing but compliments on the bald and beard combo.....plus, my lady loves it!
I'm still trying to find my way and experimenting with different products, but I cant thank this community enough for the help and motivation.

Congratulations on finding your new hairstyle. And of course, "we" like the bald and full beard combo.

Welcome, Swifferhouse! I'm also a fan of Andis Clippers. The beard is a nice touch with the sly head!

Welcome to the board, sir!
Wondering why it took so long to take the plunge or why it did not happen sooner probably is the most common statement in introductions. There is nothing like that smooth feeling.
Glad you joined us.

You've arrived at the destination, so who cares how long it took you to get there? Looks great, and I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Welcome aboard, Swifferhouse. I probably hold the record as the world's longer fence-sitter (first contemplated shaving it all off in 1987; had first head shave in 1988; have been sly since September 2013). As tobler1 said, you're at the destination, forget about the journey. You look good with a naked scalp and a beard.

Looks great man!! I got the initial shocks too when I went bald but at the same time received many compliments. I'm pretty tall myself so hardly anyone noticed my thinning crown except my uncle, who looked down over me while I was sitting down one day, and me. At that time I didn't know how bad off I was but when I got home later that evening, I realized it was serious lol. Glad you're with us!

Welcome Swifferhouse. Wish I was 6' 5." Everyone can see the top of my head. Lol!
I can think of lots of advantages for less height. A friend who is bald and tall is always scraping his head on things that he bumps into.
