I used to have a bad case of seb derm before I started buzzing/shaving my head. When I still buzzed it, the seb derm would start clearing up shortly after the buzz but when my hair grew back a good ways, seb derm came right back. I mostly buzzed mine at a number 2. Ever since I've shaved daily with a razor, that has yet to be a problem. I don't know if you are keen on shaving your head bald with a razor but if you want seborrhea to be gone permanently, shaving is the way to go.

I have heard a few guys here say that with razor balde shaving their issues go away.  I am not sure if buzzing will help much.  The blade shaving on a regular basis gets rid of the dry and dead skin along with the hair.
