Movember Men's Health Challenge
« on: October 01, 2014, 09:50:47 PM »
Is anyone here planning on signing up for "Movember" this year?  I did it last year and raised a bit of cash for the cause of Men's Health.

I did it last year.  Didn't raise as much as I'd have liked but it all helps.  I'm undecided about whether or not to do it this year.

I did sign up in the end.  It's not really about whether ib raise enough, it's that I raise something in a good cause. Also, it's a big conversation starter, which I think is a big part of the point of it.

Did you end up signing up, BBBA?

No, I didn't sense a lot of support and I wasn't going to do it alone.  Also, I raised cash twice last year; once for Movember and then again for my little buddy Jay who is fighting Leukemia.  You can only "go to the well" so many times before people get sick of you doing these things.

But, you are right in that when it comes to Men's health issues, getting the message out is key.

I can understand that.

I hope your buddy is ok.
