I use to wear a hatevery day to hide my balding head.  I had a total of 12 hates and I now have put away in the closet.  I keep around for when I am out in the sun for long periods of time.  What made me put my hates away    Simple, I took the plunge and joined the sly bald guy team.  I now have been hair free on my head for 3 months.  I grew a goote to keep hair on my face.  I think now that it has grown in, I am going to keep.
Take care all.
from a fellow sly guy - bald and happy with a gootee I am proud of and love to sport my look.

Thanks, guys.  I ordered a few more now that I know that the size was OK.

The committee will have to approve the others.   >:D

That could create a dangerous precedent.  ;)

haha.. when I wrote that earlier, I was thinking of my Home Owner's Association.  Then when I got home, I had a letter telling me to clean my rusty driveway, sidewalk and pathway....again.    :Xo!

Well, just think about how you could end up looking if you turned all decisions regarding your personal appearance to someone else (and I don't mean your wife.  :;))

haha... that would be scary.    But as far as the wife goes, I pretty much have her on my boat now... that last time she bought me some clothes, she actually bought me three v-neck t-shirts in three different shades of grey.  I was very impressed.  She knows me pretty well by now.

Thanks.  :) It was looking a bit unruly from driving around with the top down. The same thing happens when I'm on the motorcycle.

Razor...hat looks great!  I have had that "self conscious" feeling also about wearing a "non baseball" hat. I did not wear a hat as I was thinning (didn't realize I was so thin until I got badly burned playing golf once) & now have sun damage on the top of my head. So, now I need to wear a hat. I have one like Razor's and feel great in it. And I have a washable "Tilly Hat" with a wide brim that's casual for garden, pool, beach, etc.  But, I'd like to wear something more "stylish" also and I am still somewhat self conscious about that.  I have a summer straw panama hat, but find it "too" formal sometimes. This year I bought straw "Lifeguard Hat" at Orvis...big wide brim...love it & had compliments. Maybe this winter I will actually wear the Stetson 4X Beaver felt hat I purchased from Eddie Bauer 30 years ago (it's still in the box) & needs to be broken in, or the authentic Russian black rabbit fur hat with flaps.

I used to wear baseball hats ALL the time before shaving my head. Now that I've got a slick dome, I get headaches from wearing them. Can't figure it out?!?! I do wear stocking hats in the winter and they don't bother me. I do have a newsboy hat I'll wear occasionally and it doesn't seem to hurt my head.

That's a nice looking cap.  I am a big fan of those caps, as I have several.  Ironically when I had hair, I always wore hats, from ball caps, to fedoras, to driving caps such as yours.

Ever since I shaved my head though, I rarely ever wear them, even down here in Southern California when it gets really hot during the summer.  Instead I tend to wear a bandana, with a backwards snapback cap over it.  But that tends to be more for look then protection.  I typically wear that when I haven't shave my head for a few days or as part of my overall biker gear.  The bandana as well serves as a function to protect my head when I wear my motorcycle helmet.
My granddaddy once told me, "If you can't hack it, gecho' jacket!"
