Anyone ever try Joe Grooming Products
« on: August 30, 2014, 07:37:03 AM »
Was at Ulta with my girlfriend and started wandering the mens section and saw "Joe Grooming" shave. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4350283

Really like the simplicity of the names and packaging.  Just wondering if anyone has ever tried the Shave (or any of their other prods)? If so, what did you think of them?

I have never heard of this product.  However, if you decide to pull the trigger, keep us posted.

So, bought the 50ml sized bottles of these products.  I tried the Scrub, Moisturizer, and Shave.

The Scrub:  It is a little thinner compared to some of the other exfoliants out there that I’ve tried. Other scrubs tend to me more like a paste, this is like an oil with particles in it.  Which I, personally, find to be ok.  It smells like mint, has a nice cooling feeling when using, and feels like washing face with a nice soap rather than scrubbing with paste.

The Moisturizer:  didn’t really smell like anything and didn’t leave my face feeling clammy.  After having tried it a few times, I realized I have to apply it in small amounts.  If I didn’t, I had to keep rubbing for a while until it absorbed into my skin … either that or had to wipe off the excess.

The Shave: It’s a brushless shave cream. It also seems to be unscented as well.  I find it to not be as slick as HeadSlick but still had a decent slickness. I liked it, but found I had to use generous amounts of it (approx. twice the amount of headslick that I would normally use) for a nice layer of cushion.

Might not be for everyone … especially if one likes to use a brush to lather.  But, found them to be decent  overall
