Shaving my head for Halloween
« on: August 13, 2014, 11:47:27 AM »
hey guys so i will be shaving my head for halloween this year I was always liked the bald head look but always been afraid to take the plunge. i have a tinny bit of receding on my temples but not that it really looks like I'm going bald yet. so i figured i can text the waters and see how i look bald for halloween. this way i can save money and not buy a bald cap. i will be going as Heisenberg from Braking Bad. so I'm just wondering if you guys would Suggest going and having it shaved at a Barber Shop for the first time or should i do it myself. and if i do it myself what is your advice, what kinda Razor, and shaving cream do i use?

Wow, Halloween is over two months away. You plan for this far in advance, don't you?

Any razor that can shave your face can shave your head. As you are not ready to commit to going smooth, and are doing this only to play a character for one evening, I don't think there is any point in investing in any new devices for shaving. The skin wig actually would be better for what you want. They really are not expensive and are not difficult to put on properly.

If you are determined to go smooth for that night, however, I suggest allowing a barber to do it as you will run less risk of cutting yourself and ruining the appearance of the character.

Go for it!  Call around/ahead and find a barbershop that does straight-razor head shaves.  That way you will be sure that you will be getting a male barber with experience.  This way you will know that it will be done right with no nicks or scracthes to spoil your costume look - and you will really enjoy the pampering experience of getting a professional head shave!

Heisenberg ... nice  O0

Personally, I'd go for the barbershop.  I got a head  shave at a barbershop for the first time while on vacation.  Thought it was a nice treat.

If maintaining the heisenberg look after Halloween ... Perhaps consider the HeadBlade ATX and HeadSlick?
