Wedding Day

Today, my youngest daughter gets married.  She is the first wedding in my immediate family. It was going to be outside, but forecast is for greater than 50% chance of rain all day.  It was a struggle for her, all week, deciding to stay outside or move inside. Finally made the decision Friday.  I'm hoping it rains hard all day to confirm this indoor decision. 

I got up early this morning an baked raised sweet dough for breakfast. My favorite roll. (Filling is orange marmalade, brown sugar, coconut and rum flavoring. 

At least two SBG's at the wedding.  Me and the boyfriend of the sister of the groom.  I gave him a SBG card last night at the rehearsal.

Rained hard overnight. Light rain this morning for several hours.  Dry now, but the ground is wet. Glad we moved indoors for all, and increased forecast for rain this evening.

Yes, on the SBG.  New razor blade in the head blade this morning. Trimmed the beard, eyebrows, neck.  Thorough headshave.  Lemon/Heather sugar/oil scrub.  Plus Headlube Glossy! 

Garnet stud in the left ear. 

The guys will be in black slacks, black vests, black ties (mine will be a bow tie), and white shirts.

The ladies have dark teal dresses and of course a white wedding dress. 

Had a long talk with the groom yesterday.  Things that father has to say.

Had a nice talk with my daughter this morning while we were running errands.

I have to admit, I get a little choked up in movies or in person, when I see a Dad walking his daughter down the aisle.  It make me think how hard that will be one day.  The emotion of being happy for her, but sad how quickly time has gone by.  Who am I kidding... I will probably feel the same when my son gets married too.
