Sunless Tanning Lotion - Does it damage hair follicles/accelerate hair loss?

Hi all,

I have thinning hair, and decided to shave my head, with zero guard on the electric trimmer.  However, my scalp is very pale.  I used dark sunless tanning lotion on my head (Bananna Boat brand), which is great, adds great color.

My question is whether the sunless tanning lotion damages hair follicles or not. I mean will it cause accelerated hair loss?

I have not found anything that will damage or accelerate hair loss. I wish this did do that I would slather it all over my head and wait for the accelerated hair loss.

   Its hard to find a sunless tanner that matches a persons skin tone. From what I have read about them they work by staining the dead skin. In a few days if you don't reapply as the dead skin is worn away it fades away.

Use the search box on upper right of the page. Lots of guestions and information there. That question has been asked before and it seems no it won't harm hair follicles.  ....

Don't worry, it won't cause accelerated hair loss.  But worrying about things like that probably will.
