Effects of humidity
« on: August 07, 2007, 07:38:43 PM »
It's been unbearably humid here for the past several days.  But I just started to wonder, a few minutes ago at 9:30 pm, if the weather has anything to do with why I got such a killer shave today.  I shaved 15  hours ago and am still smooth, and I've been using the same blade for a week now.  Could the humidity be causing better scalp hydration, resulting in a closer shave??  Anyone else noticed anything similar??

Razor, I believe that humidity does affect the hair and quality of shave.

When I had hair, I had long dead straight hair during most of the year and when the summer and humidity would come around,it would turn into a curly wavy mess.

The moisture in the air does absorb into your skin and in turn would probably keep your scalp more moisturised and give you a better and closer shave.

Just an opinion anyways.

Could make sense Razor, after all barbers put hot moist towels on your head before shaving.

It's what we have on the east coast instead of earthquakes and mudslides.  >:D

Typical east coast response.....I'll take the once-a-decade tremor versus the guaranteed annual brutal winter and the oppressive, humid summer.

As far as mudslides go, that's coastline stuff (mainly SoCal anyway).

Oh, so you do know what humidity is, then?   ;)  I'm trying to recall the last time we had one of those "guaranteed" annual brutal winters.  Been three or four years, at least.   ^-^

Oh, well that's all right, then.   ??? ???

You know I feel exactly the same as you ....hmmm, and don't forget those hurricanes coming for months straight seem like WAY more of an on going threat....and DON't Get me started on the humidity!
