Hi all
I have been using a Head Blade for about 3 years now to shave my head, however I still consistently get ingrown hairs. I spoke to my doctor who advised that I should try an electric shaver instead. I know it will never be as close a shave as a blade but I really do hate ingrown hairs. I also moved to an electric shaver years and years ago for my face and neck to avoid ingrowns. I just must have the type of coarse hair that is susceptible to ingrowns.
I've had a quick look on here and by the sounds of it the Panasonic Linear shavers are good units.
Just after some opinions on which units you guys recommend and how you have found them to be on your skin.

I use the Panasonic ES LA63S. It works very very well and I get a very close shave. Of course not quite as close as a blade but it does work great.
What you could try doing is using an electric shaver to get the majority of the shave then do one pass with the blade. I bet it's a good possibility you will not get ingrown hairs doing it that way and you will get a BB shave. This is what I do even on my face and I now get no irritation at all.
Good luck Roger

Garra; I took Goatee's tip about a week ago and got a Braun 340s-4 at Target for $62.63. I'm actually surprised at how well it does on my head. It's not as close (or quick) as a blade but more than smooth enough to not leave the old "velcro" feel. I LIKE IT !.

P.S. Thanks Goatee

Check out the Panasonic Premium Store online. Better prices than stores or Amazon.
Panny would be my choice but only one way to find out for sure.

Welcome. You look great sly. I usually use a regular razor to shave my dome. I have used my norelco shaver when in a hurry but it does not cut that close. I would check out the Braun or the Panasonic myself of You are looking for a good electric shaver to shave the dome..
