Headblade was a "bloody disaster"

I tried using a headblade on Wednesday evening.  Sliced myself to ribbons!  Blood was shed!

So, I let the scalp rest until tonight.  I want to look my best for Church in the morning so I went to my local Arab Barber who also shaves his own head.  This guy gave me the most perfect shave, (first WTG, then ATG, then sideways) and outlined my beard and mustache. 

I LOOK GOOD!  I was so happy to see my gleaming bald head shine through again.  I think that this BBC thing is becoming another addiction for me!

Don't sweat it.

I tried using HeadBlade several times. It was not the best device for me either.

While the HeadBlade isn't for everyone, it can take some getting used to.  What model did you try? The Sport or the ATX?

Many people struggle with the Headblade mostly because they apply too much pressure on the blade as if they were shaving with a handheld razor...The key is to apply little pressure and let the blade work on it's own. But, as was said above, the Headblade is not for everyone...Check out the videos and other threads, I still think it's a good tool to have especially when I need a quick shave and time is limited.

When the HB first hit the shelves I bought one and loved it for several years. I used it with the Sensor carts and the HB triples with great success. Then, all of a sudden, I started gashing myself magnificently with it. I didn't just cut myself, I took out chunks of scalp with HB triples. If I switched back to the Sensors all was well. So I don't know if the HB carts were redesigned or what but I shelved it a few years ago in favor of my M5 Magnum.
In truth I cannot attribute the sudden blood and skin loss to a change in my shaving technique. Like I said the Sensors worked the same as always, the HB carts were a trip to the blood bank.
So I'm in the same boat.

With the HB, don't forget to keep the wheels on your head.

I use mine both WTG and ATG each shave. But not too much pressure.
