Hello guys, my name is Kevin and I have been shaving my head since I was 18. I wanted to do it sooner, but my mom would let me, Ironically as soon as I did shave it all off my mom actually liked it. Anyways, ever since I was about 15 I wanted to shave my head because I really like the look of being bald and I hate having to take care of a full head of hair. Above all, I get bad dandruff that never seems to go away and I have psoriasis on the top of my head. It's not too severe but it is a little harder to shave.
After about 2 years of shaving with the Gillette Fusion and a few hundred dollars of replacement cartridges, I decided to switch to a DE safety razor. I now use the Merkur Solingen 33c DE Safety Razor. I've been using it for about two weeks and for the first time this morning I managed to cut myself. I am DE all the way, but maybe one day when I can afford it, I will go with a straight razor! -

Hi Kevin: Welcome to the sly fraternity. Glad that you joined us. For two years, I have been head shaving with a DE and SE razor. We have a SAFETY RAZOR section in the forum and we would be happy for you to participate.
