Hey guys,

I took the plunge and shaved my head completely tonight. I thought it would be a good time since I'm on spring break at work.  Just couldn't wait for June like I said in my first post in the To be or not section.  Words can't describe the feeling I got when I made the first pass with the clippers with no guard even though I did it before.  Liberating is an understatement. I felt SO RELIEVED to not have to worry about losing hair anymore.  It took some courage to make that first pass but I did it. I then finished it up with the shaving cream and razor.  Thank you all for your kind words and advice.  I'm so glad I went through with it.  If anyone reading is pondering the thought of shaving your head, PLEASE DO IT!! Thinning hair will only get worse.

The 30 days have officially begun!

Mike: Cool thing! I think a lot of school systems around the nation have their spring break assigned the week before Easter.  Enjoy your week off as well! I'll have a profile photo up soon enough but here's one showing my newly shaved head.

Looks great! Remember, you've done by choice what many others will be forced, square inch at a time, to do. And then they still won't think of them self as balding or bald or balded, just took too much off the sides. You're one of us, ahead of the pack, know what's what, took the razor in your hand and did what you had to do. Thirty days will zoom by, hell  I'm looking at 15 years and have yet to have one regret...Congratulations!!

Thank you Blitzed!! I was really moved by those words.  It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've already gotten compliments from close friends on it.  To many people, it feels like a tragedy to lose hair. I can definitely relate. But out of every bad thing that happens there's always something good that comes out of it.  In my case, the bald head IMO compliments my beard well and I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel like I look the best I have in a long time.  All the guys here at SBG have played an integral part in that.
