Hey guys,
It's coming up to 3 months now since I first shaved, however I seem to have a problem that likes to get a little worse each time.
I get shave bumps on either side of my head when I shave, they don't completely go away by the next time I shave, which is sometimes as much as 5 days.
The only things I can think would be causing it would be the fact I use a HB6 now, so 6 blades, that I shave against the grain, or that in some areas I do have to go over multiple times because my hair is silly and grows in multiple different directions.
The HB6 seems to not do as well as the HB4 for me, strange it is. If it is the HB6 I would stop using it, just a shame since I spent money on them.
Do you guys have any advice as to what I should try first?
Thanks ^^

It sounds like you answered your own question. Sometimes too many blades are overkill. I would go back to your original and ditch the HB6. Keep us posted.

Could be the blades. I use a Schick hydro 5 without any problems. It might be worth trying something new (or going back to your old blade) and seeing what happens. Good luck.

What do you do after shaving? Do you use after shave? Alcohol?...If you rub an ice cube over your head after shaving, that may help stop the bumps. The best way to get rid of bumps in a short time, IMO is to take an aspirin (white) and wet it and spread it over the bumpy areas and let them sit. I realize that you are in the UK, but check the shops for items such as Bump Patrol and/or Bump Stopper. Good Luck!

Hey guys, just went back to being Bald after about a month or two, anyways i'm going to the 30 day rule and see if it helps this time.
Thank you for the replies! I'm going to think more about blades soon, but for now see how it goes.

I have been having this same problem. I get zits on the back of my head, which really bothers me. From what I can tell from browsing, the following things need to be considered:
- Changing blades regularly
- cleaning blades after use (alcohol?)
- Using cold water/ice to close the pours
- Not shaving too much against the grain (especially with a dull blade)
- Using a post shave solution like bbump patrol or clear head
For me, I have used clear head, but it doesn't seem to be working, and I am going through the above list. If this problem persists I may have to stop being sly. Much as I love it, I really hate the zits.
Would appreciate any other tips folks may have.

Too many blades is your problem! 6 is overkill and 6 blades going over the same spot will cause issues for some people.
Mach 3 is good as it only has 3 blades. But, a DE would be better as that would be 1 blade going over the same spot.
I use both but i also use Bump Patrol after each shave which is a great product.
Also, dont use too many products on your head! Keep it clean and as natural as you can.
