Shaved again
« on: April 03, 2014, 06:44:13 AM »
It was five days since my Baldday and I had reached that  " awkward" stage.  After pretty much deciding to just give up and let it grow backed I passed by an ethnic barbershop that had a sign in the window advertising head shaved.  Taking that as a "sign" I got the noggin reshaved and the beard crisply outlined.  We will just have to see if I can talk myself into fleeting this for another few days!

Depending on how fast your hair grows you might be able to get away with shaving every few days. Some guys just shave once a week. I don't care for the Velcro feeling so I shave every day. I'm hoping that I make it to the age where my hair doesn't grow so fast.

After taking such a huge step to have your head shaved, before you decide to grow it back, you should shave it yourself a couple of times. For some reason, the actual shaving is very satisfying. I look forward to it everyday.
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Give it 30 days so that everyone, yourself included, can adjust to the new you!
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

I concur with everyone else.  Give it 30 days minimum to see whether you really like or dislike it.  I am doing a course on teaching English right now in Cambodia, and it is hellishly hot and humid, and I am so glad to be smooth, even if I do have to hide the head when I'm outside during the day!  It's become just a regular part of my routine now when I get ready every morning, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

You might feel better shaving it everyday. Nothing like the feeling of a freshly shaved dome.

Agree with the above comments. Smooth is so much better. You do need to give it time though as it is a shock to some at first.

I know where you're coming from, hairy1.  I spent many many years shaving my head occasionally and growing back what was left.  I can guarantee that you'll be happy when you keep your head shaved completely, all the time.  Remember the 30-day rule.  Try it for 30 days so that you get used to it.  I'm pretty sure that you'll get into it.
