What to do?
« on: April 01, 2014, 09:13:09 PM »
Well, it has been five days since my dome was shaved and I M right at that point that I was afraid that I would reach.

I have not yet "accepted" the look and my gray beard with the bald head Definitely makes ke look OLD!

I am traveling and I haven,t found a barbershop that has male barbers and does head shaves.  (if I wre at home I would just have my Arab barber fo it when I go in for my weekly beard trim/shave)

My hair is right at that "awkward" length.  It is too long for the shaved look and too short for the clipper-shaved look.  I don,t know if I should just give up on the bbc now(it will be a nice crewcut in just about a week if I leave it alone), or if I should keep looking for a barber.  I don't yet want to start shaving it myself.

Right now the whole "look" is just "old and bad"!

I know what you mean, whenever I start to grow my hair back, I just hate the first 2 weeks with the buzzcut look. After 2 weeks, I can trim it to a short flattop. I usually don't make it past 3 or 4 weeks before shaving it off again. In my case, I look much younger bald, than with a head of silver hair. I'm thinking you might try trimming to a goatee and try shaving again. It takes a while to get used to the bald head. After ten months, I still have a hard time recognizing that guy in the mirror!
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Stick with it as you aint been bald long. Then again, if you are sure then let it grow back and give yourself more time.

I don't know any chap who looks bad or old bald. It's a shocker, yes, it was for myself as well. But give yourself 30 days and the look will grow on you, I'm sure. If not, you have the option to grow it out. The in-between time is the most awkward but you'll get past it, should you opt to go that route.

I couldn't imagine what I would look like bald, now I have a hard time imagining what I'd look like with hair (over 8 months consistently for me now)!
