Thanks fer y'all's input.
Yeah, cops are WAY underpaid.
I'm one a them guys who has several things I want to accomplish before I'm too old to do so.
Three major things stand out (there are other minor things) but THREE stand out that I've always wanted to do since I was a kid.
1) Be a rock star
2) Earn a black belt (or some top ranking) in a martial arts style
3) Be a cop
The first one I achieved to a certain level -
www.myspace.com/letchengreyOver the years I've dabbled in various arts and lower ranking belts in Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do and Judo - so I've got some work there (lately I'm very intrigued with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu).
The last one, well here I am.....here in Colorado there's no maximum age, as long as yer in good physical, mental and emotional condition and you can cut the mustard with all the requirements and testing.
The only thing that concerns me is past drug usage (of course in the rock & roll business) but it's been 20 years. But I'm prepared to be honest and some agencies, honest or not, just won't have it.....then again there are more conscientious agencies that do take in the whole scope and context of a candidates life and accomplishments against many years being removed from drug usage.
We'll see...nothing ventured, nothing gained
