Initial Reactions

So I finally went sly last weekend and here are some of the reactions:

My wife the day I did it:  "Oh god you did it".  Hasn't phased her or said anything since

My mom:  "Looks weird"  Nothing like a mothers love....

Mother-in-law/father-in-law:  "I love it"

Friend and his wife:  "Suites you very well.  We like it"

Another friend when shown a picture of it:  "it makes him look so much younger, its a great look for him" Note: She is a hair stylist.

Co-worker 1:  "How's it going Mr Clean"  (we harass each other daily so it was in jest)
Co-worker 2:  "You remind me of Mr Bigglesworth from Austin Powers" (another one I joke around with and easily my favorite comment)
Co-worker 3:  "Looks good like that"
Manager:  "Did you shave your head?  Notice a difference in the temperature?" (he jokes around a lot)

Overall not a negative word said..or nothing said at all.  It certainly helped quell some fears I had about reactions from other people!

I can honestly say if you want to do it just go for it and don't worry about what other people will think.  Most people don't even notice.

The good thing is that nowadays most people are treating sly (shaved head) as "just another haircut".....Does it stand out a little more? Sure, but don't be surprised if more balding guys you know follow your lead and go sly....Thanks for sharing!

Moms... gotta love 'em.

My mom's first statement upon seeing my shaved head was, "You probably will want to grow it back."

It took her about a year to accept it.

Yea its kinda funny.. Some of my family members who commented, negatively, on my MPB loved or had nothing to say negatively about my shaved head.

My mum didn't notice for around a month! Probably due to her age

Gotta love family.  My dad still mentions things like "Oh, that's when you had hair."
I did see some family this weekend that have not seen me bald before and I got "where did your hair go?"  My response was "Down the drain."

That was the end of it.

I have an eighty year old uncle who would smirk or make a snarky comment when I first started shaving my head. You can imagine my surprise one day when I showed up to visit him and he had shaved himself sly ( and had my goatee, to boot!)

Gotta love moms, haha. My mom was the only one who didn't like that I have shaved my hea, but sshe's grown accustomed to it.

It looks great on you, obviously people like it and are accepting of it which is great, there will be some people that don't like it but who cares ! Do you do it for yourself or others? Go your own way in life and make your own path, you will be much happier! Looks great buddy!
