Beckham to make debut tonight against Chelsea...

They say he's injured - do you think he'll play?  Do you plan on watching the game?

I think it will be cool to see him play here on US soil.

Will be interesting to see how well he does over there and whether or not he can hold on to his ENgland place.  Wish him the best of luck though, i have always thought that aside from the celebrity image that he always seems like a nice enough fella.

Beckham is overrated...he is good for 1 thing, free kicks, he is sick when it comes to this, all this hype though, he's getting "old" in soccer terms, which = injury prone, and he was never a top player. His celebrity status, him and his wife are what is causing all this craziness...he won't even be in the top 3 of his new team, maybe not even top 5.

I think I heard on ESPN he played 12 minutes.  NOt much of a debut but I guess the ankle was in bad shape.

We'll see how he does.  Either way, he's going to be a huge draw for soccer in the US.

I think you are right Tyler about Beckham being a huge draw.  I don't know what kind of crowd they normally draw but yesterday's was large it appeared on the highlights.

He is also wicked at crosses and assists.  He isnt going to make LA Galaxy win every match though, he is just there to promote Football/Soccer in the US. Now if they had bought Steven Gerrard he would win every match!
