How embarrasing, what the heck do I do now?

I got hit in the head with a bottle back in highschool, left a couple of scars on the back of my head, especially one semicircle. Recently, as some of you know, I've been shaving my head. Well anyway, I got no option in it, and I'm keepin it like that. Well the scar is showing a lot more, but I didn't care, thinkin if anything it gave me that toughguy look. Well today I brought up the fact at work that I had gotten hit with a bottle, and two of my coworkers said "oh, I thought that was a ringworm or something" . WTF? I can't grow out my hair, cause it don't look right anymore, but now most people, that don't know I got hit with the bottle, might be thinking I got a damn ringworm. What the heck can I do?

Yea, what ever...people always have to pick when they are intimidated...and they are not intimdated by your bald looks...they are intimidated by your BALD CHOICE...so they can't get your goat by razing you about the 'shave"...now they can raz you about the scar....

Just shave and hold your head high...if it continues to bug you ...maybe one day you could afford plastic surgery...but really don't sweat it, you're a nice lookin' dude with a bald head...period

If it bothers you that much, go see a plastic surgeon. they do wonders these days with removing scars, tattoos, etc.

Thanks guys, I get obsessive over stuff, I made an appointment with a dermatologist for a couple of weeks from now.  See if they got anything to help remove it.  If not, its just somethin else I'm gonna have to accept, and not give a damn what people think about

Thats pretty much it...venting...ITS JUST THE DAMN SCAR IS A PERFECT RAISED SEMICIRCLE LIKE A RINGWORM(the bottle must of hit me perfect like that or something)....I never even thought about it, I was just trying to accept the overall look.  I've noticed in the corner of my eye people staring...I thought I was getting checked out by chicks...shoot....whatever....venting...thanks guys

I got a HUGE scar on the left side of my head. It's probably about five inches long and parts of it is probably an inch thick. I've been sly since May and I still get some looks from people. I just kind of look through them when I catch them looking and they look away.

You can either go with the truth, and the bottle story, or you can make up something really funny. Here's what I'd do if I were you. I'd go have a beer with a few of the guys from work. Once everyone is a little sauced start horsing around with the guys, a little good natured ball busting. They will, of course, bust your balls about your scar. Then when most of the guys are throwing darts, or in the pisser, confide with ONE of the guys how you "really" got your scar (don't tell the group, because you'll look insincere, or like you are trying to show off). Be sure to finish any story you tell regarding the scar with "yea, and that's how I got in the witness protection program." 

If they say "BS" you just look right through him, ignore him for about three to five seconds and drink a drink of beer or of your whiskey. Not a gulp, but a slow "I don't care if you believe me or not" drink.

Remember, you only tell ONE of the guys at the office. By the following week, it will be all over the office and no one is going to mess with you about your scar.

You could get a little tattoo next to the scar.....'NOT a ringworm, it's a scar from a bottle!!Dammit!!'
