I finally became a bald by choice man

I finally took the leap and shaved my head completely clean on the 26th of this month. The process took me approximately 45 minute from start to finish. I made the mistake of going against the grain on the second pass and lets just say I wont be doing that again for a few weeks. Besides that little slip up, I can't believed I have not done this sooner.

So the 26th ended up being a good day to pick. Glad you are happy.

I wish there was some sort of statistic for how many times the "I wish I had done this sooner" sentiment was expressed on this board.

Congratulations! But don't give up on shaving against the grain just yet...after a few headshaves and better technique, you can give it another go to get a smoother head. Good luck!

Congrats and welcome to the club.  You are in the right place for any questions, because it will take some time for your scalp to get used to being shaved.  Make sure you take the 30 day challenge.

Congrats and hang in there.  It took me a week or two to get a good technique down.  Now I can shave in the shower in about five minutes, sans mirror.

Congratulations! The shaves will get quicker once you nail down your routine. On the first shave we have all had a little blood. Just take it slow and easy at first to get to know the direction in which your hair grows. Welcome to the awesome world of having a slick dome!

Welcome.  Believe me, we've all made some crazy mistakes in the past when it comes to shaving our noggins.  Until I learned to let the blade do the work and not press down, I would shave skin as much as hair.
