Shaving my head for charity tomorrow

Hello gentlemen -

I've been working out a lot, recently lost a bunch of weight and I'd been thinking about shaving my head for the summer when an interesting opportunity came up. My company is raising money for The Children's Miracle Network this month, and I turned my head shaving into a money raising stunt. The hook was that if I raised $1000 I'd shave my head. As of this moment I've raised $1450.

I got Apple to sponsor me and they donated a tidy sum to have their logo on the side of my head in permanent ink, which will be fun. I'm also letting people sign my head after I shave it for additional donations of $50 per signature. Thus far I've got at least 30 people coming out to watch, so really it's going to be quite a hoot.

I scored myself a pair of Wahl Balding Clippers and I'll be doing it in the parking lot tomorrow at high noon. I'm getting a little nervous, looking for any last minute tips and encouragement.

Anyway, rock on everybody. I'm looking forward to joining this community. And actually I'm just now noticing that all the emoticon graphics up above this message box are actually bald!

Artman, that's a great way to shave your head - put a great cause behind it!!  After the Wahl clippers, are you going to shave down to the bare skin?

Well I've done a bit of research and supposedly these "balding clippers" will take it all the way down. I think though that "all the way down" in this case is probably a bit of growth for you guys but I'm not sure how much. It should be enough to get me through the stunt.

I do think that over the weekend I'll go all the way with my Mach 3.

Just in case "all the way" isn't far enough, I'll bring my Mach 3 along for backup.

Cool.  If you do end up going with the Mach 3, don't put too much pressure and take it slow.  Have fun bro!

Great cause and a cool way to do what's been on your mind..having a nicly scraped bald dome! ;)

Yea, you should shave it smooth with a mach 3...trust us...slick bald is the best...the buzzer will get it close but not shiny smooth!
