Man, talk about going for it in a big way...the 60's surf band the Pyramids took it way to the extreme....totally slick bald during the conservative, flattoped, pompadored, pre-Beatles days...talk about Bald By Choice!

Yeah, that's crazy for back then!  I've never even heard of the Pyramids.

They looked way more like badasses than the other groups back then...they could even pass for a band nowadays

If I remember correctly they were featured as the "club" band lurking in the background of one of the many Frankie and Annette 60's beach movies...

you know the ones with the beatnik bikers and shin-dig dancin' on the beach...they must have been "way out there" and cool to be a featured band!

Very cool indeed!  8)  Are you sure they are totally slick bald, though?  It's hard to say from that photo since it's so small.  Either way, it was a pretty radical look for that era.

There are enough musicians here to start a SLY band.  Might be a little different with 3 drummers and a super percussionist.  How about the Drum Heads???

i remember those movies from the early andmid 1960s.  the band was cmpletely bald and on one flick, i remember a very young Stevie Wonder, singing lead(and bald also like rest of band)
