Harry's shavers
« on: December 11, 2013, 10:46:28 PM »
I ran across these guys tonight while working the Google Fu.  Does anybody have any experience with their product or information on them?

https://www.harrys.com/

They feature a 5-blade cartridge.

I shot them an email asking them if they have any sly guys using their razors and here is the email that I got.

"I’ve heard from many people who shave their head say that their experience with Harry’s has been the best they’ve ever had -- so I definitely think you should give it a try. Our 5-blade cartridge provides the sort of close, smooth shave that folks like yourself are looking for! That said, if you try it out and don't love it, just let us know and we'll help you out!"

Of course, I didn't exactly expect to get an email back saying that their product sucked for head shaving and that I should just go away quietly.  Hopefully somewhere out there is a sly guy who is a Harry's user and they will find this place.

I searched up some on line reviews. Most were not very good.

I see ads for them a lot and they pop up on my Facebook news feed.  I've been tempted to order from them just for their look.  I like the ivory handle Truman.  Their website is really well done too.

Agreed Mike. Their site is very nice and the reviews I read said that their customer service is outstanding.
Most people loved the handles although some said they were slippery when wet. Most people liked everything except the blades. BUT...... there's always a but....... many DID like the blades.

I've been using Harry's for a couple months now.  Switched to it from an ATX with HB4 blades.  I really like the razors, they shave pretty smoothly, though I did have to change my technique a little.  I used to just go ATG with the HB, now I do a pass WTG and follow it up ATG and end up with a smooth shave with very little irritation.  Cost-wise I'm very happy with them, though I really wish they would fit in my ATX because I don't like using a handle anymore.

I've been hearing more and more about Harry's in general conversations lately.

Also, discovered that they're taking a big expansion leap: http://www.fastcompany.com/3025315/fast-feed/shaving-startup-harrys-buys-razor-factory-for-100-million

Haven't tried them, yet, but it looks like we may be seeing more and more of them.

I just placed an order with Harry's. As soon as I try them out I will report. They have a nice looking product and website but the only true test is the shave.

Cheers.
