My bumpy head

Hello im new here and sorry if this is the wrong place to put this type of thread but i didnt know where to ask...i also hope its ok to be here cause im not actually sly yet (but im on the lowest grade on my electric razor im bald cause of MPB) this seems like the best place to ask about things to do with head shape...anyway i have a few dents on my head some near the back which is making my head seem more pointy (it would seem a bit pointy regardless i think) you can only really see it when i look down cause when you look at me dead on its ok looking...and im just wondering can a buzz cut (cause of the "shadow") make my dents (and pointy bits cause of the hair whats on it) seem worse?...i heard somewhere that it can to a degree and my head dont seem as pointy in the bright light either...so is it true? cause if it is i may go sly (to make it look a bit better obviously i know it will still look pointy etc) and if not then well so be it i feel stupid for asking this but well here it is lol.

Welcome, Danny Boy!

Having a buzzed head and dealing with MPB makes this the perfect place for you to be... so cross that off your worry list first.

Now,
I don't recall ever noticing someone having shadow areas that make their head look worse when buzzed.  I should just say "yes" to get you to shave your head... lol.... but I won't.    I think you should just do what makes you feel more comfortable.  Maybe give the shave a try... you can quickly grow it back out to a buzzed length.  That's the only way to see what you think for sure.  

I'm sure that dents and pointy areas are not as bad as you think... most of us have some imperfections on our dome...

i hope the link works and if it does i hope you see it well...thing is i seen the pointy bit before but even though i thought it was weird i didnt think much of it (my head was a number 2 at this point) but its on my mind now i think my OCD is playing up lol cause no matter how confident i was before about my head (which i was) my OCD always has the upper hand.

The guy is a wrestler he is usually sly himself but round this time as you can see he grew it out (think for a film or something then he kept it a bit)...like i said before i say the pointy bit on my head and thought nothing of it...i know its ok cause the wrestler in the wrestling world is liked by many and has been said he looks good bald also...its jus my OCD gets me at times.

Hi Danny,

Welcome. As Slymyke said, none of us really has a perfect shaped head. I could easily obsess about mine, too.  When I see myself in photos in a profile view, my head looks misshapen to me. I've got assorted bumps and dents and I think I might even have that bump the wrestler has. But looking at me straight on it's hard to see any of my perceived flaws.

What's my point? I think that we see things in ourselves that no one else really sees. We are our own worst critics.  So I know no one else is really examining me and searching for flaws. And I've learned to accept myself and my appearance for what it is. And I like how I look sly.

I'd give the razor shave a try. I bet it's not much of a difference from what you're doing now. And I bet you'll look just fine.

Thanks for the reply guys and yeah what you say is true Mike thing is in certain lights or angles etc my head looks different and the "bump" looks ok from a distance someone would be looking at me anyway...like i said you can only see it if i look down and only time it looks bad if im really close to a mirror (i mean whos gonna be that close to me) which says alot...and yeah Harry i might give i a try one day i mean the length it is now and the stage of my MPB i might aswell...is just im not the biggest fans of razors i dont even use it on my face (i like stubble or bigger beards anyway)

An update im getting used to my head now anyway i mean i did before but i kinda worried a bit but after awhile you get used to it again...its not perfect but hey who is im finally feeling better...these are some pics of the back of my head.

Hey Danny,

I think that your head looks good. You have a nice head shape for sly. I think a full beard would go well with your sly head. I can see the horseshoe but I can't see the bump you're talking about. Nice avatar!

Thanks i did have a big beard not long back but i dont have the best hair growth lol...i have enough for a good enough beard though its like random patches come every now and again...and about the bump the light does it justice theres like 2 dents at the back but like i said im feeling better now regardless.

Wow Danny,

I don't know what I was expecting but the pictures of your head look totally fine - probably better than mine! You look good! And no one is perfect. Don't worry about that  "bump."  No one see anything but a nice looking head.

Thanks Mike sometimes worries get to me this time last week when i saw the bump i was ok with it thought it weird but i was ok...but now its on mind weird how my brain works lol...i know im being stupid cause i was in the shop just and it was quite light i saw my reflection and it looked abit pointy but nothing major it was fine...i couldnt really see it lol...ah well sometimes we get abit paranoid i suppose...but like i said im feeling better now.
