• Hey everybody I'm new to his site! I was shaving my head once a week for a few years. 2 weeks ago I had a really bad fall I was quadriplegic for about 20 minutes, thank God feeling and movement returned to my limbs. I was in the hospital 3 days, I was discharged a week and a half ago. I can't shave myself right now so guess where I had my aide drive me? yep the barbershop! I kept my beard but that two weeks of hair growth on my head had to go. I'm a bald guy I don't like hair on my head! hopefully use of my hands will come back with therapy but I count my blessings every day for what I have. don't focus on the little things that you're missing thank God for what you can do and what you've got in your life your friends family and your health.
  
  anyway I'm looking for an electric razor that me or my girlfriend can use in a few weeks. I've had a wahl balding clipper but never been that happy with it. the one I'm looking for is a blue palm size unit the barbers use to really skin you before they put a razor to your head. it might be a Norelco do any of you guys know what that is - name, model number?

  I can't answer your question about the clippers, but I wanted to wish you well and a speedy and full recovery. I hope you're shaving your own head very soon!

• Welcome, Joe! I have two pairs of Andis outliner clippers that shave real well. I used them when I underwent some minor surgeries on the scalp and they cut fairly close and give a nice bald appearance leaving very little stubble. If you are looking for a smaller version, the Andis T-outliner might be the best for you. While the cost averages around $50, it pays for itself in about five headshaves, and with proper care, it can last you a good five years. (Be sure to get a bottle of clipper oil from any beauty supply store if you get these). Good luck, welcome to the forum, and praying for a speedy recovery!

• I'm happy to report that I was able to shave my head today, going with the grain. So I'm back on the road to d.i.y. bald.
  
  I haven't learned the name of the clippers yet, but I'm still interested.
