New to SBG
« on: November 26, 2013, 09:19:25 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Been shaving head for about five years because I started losing my hair.   At the time I thought it was kind of unfair because of all my friends, I was the only one who was balding.   My father (who had 12 siblings) was bald and his father was bald.  But all of my cousins on my father’s side of the family had hair.

It took a while to get over the inadequacy feeling this produced.  But I’ve moved past it and rockin' the shaved the head!

Been an unregistered lurker for a bit, but glad I finally joined!  :)

It's good to have you, TSE!  How long have you been shaving your head?

No need for anybody to feel inadequate when they can rock the shaved head, right?

thanks all for the warm welcome.  Real happy to be here

I've been shaving the head for about 5 years now ... but did the close, wahl clipper, buzz for about 3 years before that.

... and agreed slymyke, It took awhile to get used to a shaved head but once I did the feelings seemed to just wash away :)

Welcome. You've got me beat in terms of longevity of being sly, but I'll welcome you just the same.  Nice to have a new 'dome' here. Make yourself at home and post frequently.

It can seem unfair, can't it! When I was losing my hair, I often thought of my father and brother who both had full heads of thick hair! But going Sly helps enormously. Glad you are enjoying the sly look!

Welcome!

Very assuring to see that there are others with similar circumstances and could empathize  :)

Thanks for the welcome Mike E. P.!
