Here's mine....JIMMY....have had him since 2008....he's a 8-yr-old English Bulldog:

Bulldogs are really sweet dogs.

YEP!!!   Mine is a BIG BABY but has a HUMONGOUS DEEP BARK that sounds much bigger than he is when someone's at the door.

Slyest and Billy boy.....yeah...we've always had dogs that were crate (kennel) trained....completely eliminates torn up houses and runaway issues.   When home you walk them and play with them....give'm their exercise and all that....and enjoy their company around the house....just say "KENNEL!" and they run into their kennel when ya leave.   Much better.

When I did Greyhound Rescue I learned all about crates and the proper way to use them. Fewer people would get rid of their pooches if they knew how to properly use a crate.

My (3) current pups love their crates. They lay in them even when the doors are open and they have the run of the house.

All I have to say is "In!" and they all run into their crates wagging their tales.

Yep!  I couldn't agree more.

We had a couple for Golden Retrievers. The first one, Bailey,  was a pure bred and lasted about 16 years. The second one was a rescue dog and only lasted about 8 years. She developed lymes disease from the deer ticks up at our cabin. I miss them both a lot.

My son now has a black lab, St. Bernard and dobbermine combo She is a big girl and has a lot of energy. I am about to take her over to the dog park to wear her down a bit.

We also have 2 cats. a 17 year old Tabby named Bob and a 3 year old black cat named bubbles. Needless to say, they make life interesting.

Great present. Did you keep it a surprise until Christmas morning?

Yes,  We really didn't have it waiting for them in a stocking though.   We woke my older daughter up with it, then all took it into my son's room and woke him with it.   (We didn't know we would have a little surprise off our own a year later (another daughter) or we may not have gotten the dog.   I'm glad it worked out the way it did...lol.

The new addition I named him Ruff. When I brought him home he played chase with my son and barked like crazy.

He's a good looking little fella!  I didn't think you would get one so quickly.  How old is he?

He's 7 weeks. I think it is turning out to be my sons dog more than mine. It might be harder to train but the new will wear of pretty soon I hope.
