Slybear, pumpkins are great!

We had two knocks on the door but I didnt open it. I don't agree with children begging for sweets, to be honest the older I get the more impatient I am around children. I'm not a fan! :*))

Unfortunately this nonsense has reached Australia.  I don't answer the door.

Well...

I guess I am just too big a kid still. We had a lot of fun.

Tons of kids actually are driven into our neighborhood each year from other parts of the city. We went through more than seven bags of candy.

Count me in as one. My partner and I both love Halloween.

Cave Dweller - seriously?  How does anyone not know who Charlie Brown is?!  We watched the Great Pumpkin last night.

I love Halloween.  I am a teacher and I get a huge kick out of opening the door and seeing students from my school react to seeing their teacher in real life!

Yep. Some older kids recognized the shirt's pattern, but kids under about ten didn't seem to have a clue.  One boy asked me if I was Batman because I was wearing yellow and black. We had the silhouette of Snoopy against the moon up on our roof (like happens in the show) and most kids did not recognize it either.

Maybe it was because The Great Pumpkin aired ON Halloween this year rather than a few days before, so the kids were not home to see the characters.

That's too funny. Last year, I went to a costume event at the school where I teach. It was a come as your favorite book character theme. I was Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Not only did the kids not know who I was, neither did the parents!  Sad!

Or maybe it's because the real Charlie Brown doesn't have a goatee?    :D

You don't know how much I wish those were the reasons.

I was about to shave off the goatee last night, but the wife and daughters vehemently objected. This Charlie has got it good!
