A small victory
« on: July 12, 2007, 08:40:29 PM »
Small but significant to me.  I had my measurements done at the gym tonight, and after a year of being plateaued at 19.5% body fat,  it has finally budged.  I'm now down to 18%.  Not exactly earth-shattering news but it is nice to finally see the number go down, even if it is only a little bit.

Way to go, dude.  Congrats

Thanks, guys.  It's frustrating how slow the progress is.

Progress may be slow, but it IS progress.   Hang in there and keep plugging away.

Awesome. Just keep in mind...you gotta crawl before you walk.

I know, but I've been crawling now for longer than I care to admit.  And what I really want to do is run!! ;D

Ya know what....I love running (me, my shoes, my dog, and Metallica).
But I've recently has a fitness epiphany (where's Prof Melon when I need a thesaurus)....I'm 41, 6' tall, 202 lbs.
I'm never going to get to where I was 20 years ago. Despite the fact my diet really hasn't changed all that much, my level of exercise is close to what it was back then. Metabolism is a bitch.

I love my steak, my schrotinis and being a spectator at my kids' events too much to sweat the last few lbs.

You got that right.

I have given up so much, there really isn't much left to give up next. I've given up sweets, I haven't had any bread in 10 weeks and haven't had any alcohol in about 3 months, except for maybe 2 glasses of wine back in June.  I may be fighting an uphill battle but I'm going to win eventually or die trying.  I have to get this under control now, because I hear it's much harder after 40, and let me tell you, it's hard enough now.

Awesome RazorX!!! Keep it up!
