As I am sitting here enjoying the forum, my daughter walks in and asks me what I'm doing. I tell her about SBG and she starts to laugh at me! Well, I explain the purpose to her, etc. and she thinks it's cool. She says, "tell them about how you feel when you ride your bike." I once told her that, similar to the way that amputees sometimes still feel their limbs, there are days that I'm on my bike and I can feel the wind blowing through my hair! She thinks that's hilarious.
I know what you mean.
Also, before I shaved my head (during the years of a receding hairline) I used to feel "phantom bangs"... where it felt like hair was on my forehead and it drove me crazy.
Can't remember having phantom hair feelings. Then again it's been years since having long hair.
I used to feel the same sensation when I first went sly.
