Hello fellow chrome domes: I hope all is well with you & your families. With Halloween nearing. . . I thought it would be fun to discuss your favorite Halloween candies.
I'll start. My favorite Halloween candy is candy corn, Double Bubble Gum, Whoppers, and bite-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and BabyRuths. I am sure I am leaving some out but those come to mind.
So... how 'bout you? What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Another vote for the little Resse's cups. I don't know why they are so much better than the normal ones, but they are.

Sixty years ago it was home made caramel coated apples. That was then. Now you wouldn't dare offer anything home made without fear of the law watching you very closely. Ever since word got around that razor blades were slipped in apples-and other fruits-nothing wrapped other than by a factory is acceptable to hand out. I'm too old to be much concerned but much younger friends who have children will not let them go door to door but prefer to go to larger, organized events where everyone is known. Generally these are held in a gymnasium or a mall and it does insure that all the children do get their lagniappe, get to show off their costumes and parents aren't worried about where they are. Of course if, as with many children, their young have credit cards they may come home from that same benevolent mall with a Gucci bag, Hermes sweater or Leica camera, all great souvenirs of a pointless holiday.

I think it is because you don't have to unwrap the minis...you can just grab a handful and chow down...

I also like the banana flavored taffy (I usually only see it at Halloween, so that's the only time I eat it).

It's hard to pick one as a favorite... I like everything that has been listed, lol.

I'll give another vote for candy corn...
