Hi I'm a new member

I just registered as a new member. I'm using my phone so it's kind of hard to work it. Anyways, I just recently became sly again. Firsr time was two years ago when I was 18. And now about to turn 20 I just want to know if I can pull it off. I don't MPB, I simply like the look and most people say it looks good but others have pretty much begged me to stop doing it. So here's a before and after.
I was half asleep on the second one.
Does anybody here do it also fot the style or is this strictly for MPB and other form of hair loss sufferers?

Welcome, Luis.
No, you are not alone. Several members are Bald By Choice (BBC).
Don't worry about what others want your hairstyle to be. It is your head and your hair. If YOU are happy with it, then that is all that matters.

Thank you. And yes it is hard obviously dealing with people's opinions. My parents for one make it seem as if I did a terrible thing or joined a gang. I can understand their frustration. Same goes to the few friends who dislike it. Kind of makes me want to cut communication with them.
That's why I'm just wondering if it truly looks that bad? I don't know, maybe it makes me look akward?

It's your hair, do what makes you feel happy. If you get bored you can grow it back.

It looks good both ways, but the bald head seems to work for you. Doesn't the fact that some people disapprove make you want to keep it sly?

I think you look great but are you confident with the look is the important thing? If others opinions mean so much then you will have the haircut they want on you and not the one you want on you. I have most of my hair but love being sly or tightly buzzed.
A guy at my gym just shaved off all his thick hair this week to a clipper shave and he looks great. If you still live at home with parents I can see it would be awkward but its your head and this is a popular haircut today, unlike when they were your age so take that in account.

I do it for the style. I too have had others tell me to stop! Mostly because I always can rock out the 3 inch spikey hair with the buzz cut around the sides look. When I first shaved it was a big time deal for everyone even my boss at work was giving me weird ahhh looks. So I left it shaved for one week. Then after I let it grow out for a year or so. Then I shaved it again and kept it that way for 11 months. Now I grew it to an inch for winter, since I can't stand cold weather here in vegas. I mean i can always shave a wear a beanie but where's the pride of showing of the shaved shine dome if I have to hide it. So my wait for head to be shaved again in 4 months started 2 weeks ago.

By the way! You rock the sly look, mostly because your face structure is meant for that shave dome.

Congrats mate. Do what feels good for you. You are made for either look as far as I'm concerned
but again YOU choose. Welcome and have a great day.

Welcome BaldBoyLuis,
I agree with the others, you pull the Sly look off well. Either looks suits you, so do what you want, when you want.
The ones who are making negative comments are just not used to your hair, or just have a personal taste against shaved heads vs. hair. When people know you have the choice, they expect you to keep the hair. Mix it up and have fun with it. One day you may need to do it for other reasons, and you will have no reservations in doing so.
